The types of disabilities I know of are such as blind, deaf, and autism. Blind is referring to people that cannot see or who have partial vision. Either was born blind or gone through a horrible accident. Deaf are people who have hard of hearing or cannot hear at all. But these people do have equipment or strategies to know. Autism is people that have difficulty in communication or interactions or other activities. And I think they are sensitive to touch, taste, smell, sound, sight or pain. What problems do people with disabilities face in your community? I believe the problems that they face is in my community is that they are not respected enough or just people do not know who they are and what they are going through. I say people in my community do not notice their existence enough. Or just they dont want to help that someone in need. I understand they dont have too but I believe that its more respectable, I dont know thats just me. The people we are okay not the best and not the worst but were okay. We just need to help out others in need more often I believe so. Do you always try to help people who are disabled? I always try to help people who are disabled as much as I can. If I know what type of disability they have I can probably be more helpful. But there is sometimes where I dont know whats going on and I cant be much of help. I understand there is times where you just have to let them be and do their own thing until they are done. I tend to help as much as I can and base on what i can do too. How do you think people disabled in accidents come to terms with their new disability? I believe that they somewhat go into depression because they cant do what they use to do because of that disability. I think they worry about what others will say well not really. Well I cant really know until you actually go through a type accident like that. I think some would just say to themselves life goes on . I cant really understand what would the terms turn to be. I think its just a big shock that turns the tables with your life. And you just dont know what happens with your life. What daily problems do you think someone who uses a wheelchair may face each day? I think they go through a lot just to begin the day. Such as waking up and use the restroom you have jump from your bed to your wheelchair and jump to the toilet seat. Or putting on clothes for school or the day you have yourself into your clothes or call someone for help. Then just rolling to the car as well jumping inside the car to the seat or have that special type of car that makes it easier I guess. Someone always have to help you in the morning routine. Then during the day imagine going through a crowd of kids in the school and no one moves out the way so youre just there getting upset about it. Theres just so many problems I believe they have to deal with on the daily. And I didnt even describe a full day for them. Which makes me feel bad about the people in wheelchairs at this moment. Do you tend to think that disabled people always need your help? I believe some disabled people would need my help not all because I know some had overcome their obstacle and are able to do it themselves. I think sometimes if you help them without asking you would just make them upset because maybe they were confident enough to handle it until you came in to help. Some disabled people would be mad because they would say I didnt need you to help me it would break their confidence I believe. Like if we pity them or something some disabled people think like that. I dont know its just me but ive seen it around.

My Interest in MS in Telecommunication at George Mason...

I am writing to inform you of my interest in MS in Telecommunication here at George Mason University. My interest in MS technologies started when I was very young. Since my early childhood till today, my most important characteristics have been my excitement to learn things and new topics. It developed even more over time and throughout my childhood. My inner desire to reach a degree of excellence took me to the George Mason University. To further my passion of IT, I have submitted my application with applicable documentation into your department. I currently hold my Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Information Technology from George Mason University with *** of GPA. I have developed interest in IT and computers from the very beginning of my young age. As long as I can remember, Information Technology has been a big part of my life. It all started in my early age of my school where I was taught a basic language of computers and how the computers can be programmed. After seeing my interest in computers, my father bought me an Intel Celeron based computer with 256 Megabyte of RAM during my middle school days. Compare to today’s fast operating systems, this computer really tested my patience. After playing around with it, I discovered myself more into it and tried making it work faster. I had even tried changing some of its files on my own so that it can work the way I want it. I tried fixing it in a way so that it can help me opening the Microsoft 97 without freezing it. Ariana Grande by Ariana Grande free essay sample

Ariana Grande is a very well known singer. You might have heard of her for Victorious or Sam and Cat. But after she was done with doing TV shows, she went into her music career. Grande’s first album was Yours Truly in 2013. One song on the album is Honeymoon Avenue. It’s very upbeat and has great high notes. I think this album isn’t as good as her other but she’s gotten better. The My Everything album has some emotional songs. They seem to be about heartbreak and love. There’s Just a Little Bit of your Heart, One Last Time, and Best Mistake. There were a few upbeat songs but mostly sad ones. The album I really love is Dangerous Woman because its so classy and the songs have good beats. They’re very smooth and her voice is very powerful. Ariana is very known for her high notes. We will write a custom essay sample on Ariana Grande by Ariana Grande or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page My favorite song is Thinkin’ Bout You. It starts off slow then the beat starts to pick up as she sings higher. Its very beautiful and meaningful. Though I think most of her songs are amazing. Ariana has been a singer for a long time but she’s going into it the more she has grown up. She has come a long way. She can sing super high, which makes the songs sound sweet and smooth. If you get a chance listen to a couple of her songs. One of Grande’s recent songs is No Tears Left to Cry, which came out April 20th. It starts off slowly then the beat changes right away. She knows how to use her voice in many ways. She sounds great singing high and low. I recommend her if you like pop music and I will rate her music about 4 stars. You could play her music at parties and if you’re just hanging out with your friends. I can’t wait for her album Sweetner to come out. It doesn’t come out to July but I’m wondering what she has been working on for he r fans. My favorite albums in order are Dangerous Woman, My Everything, and Yours Truly.I know her old songs were innocent at the beginning of her music career. Now they have more explicit language and meaning behind the songs. I hope you come across some of her song because you should really check out her music. Ariana Grande by Ariana Grande free essay sample The album isn’t out yet but so far its great. The two songs from the debut album of Ariana Grande that are out now. One is called â€Å"Put Your Hearts Up†. The song is really good and has a great meaning. Her voice is really strong and amazing as always in the song and I’m sure in the rest of them. The music has a good beat to it and it fits well with the lyrics of the song. The other song is called â€Å"Honeymoon Avenue†. The newest song has catchy lyrics and beat that will cause the song to get stuck in you head for days. The song â€Å"Honeymoon Avenue† has a best that will make you want to dance. What I like about these songs and her music is that both of these songs having a special message that she is trying to get across to her fans and other listeners. We will write a custom essay sample on Ariana Grande by Ariana Grande or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page When you hear the songs at first you think just another song. After a while of listening the meaning of why she wrote them gets to you and makes you like the songs even more then you already do. The message I get from these songs is that doing the smallest things that don’t matter, really do matter. They matter because they can change how someone feels about themselves and others and can change the way people live. She said in an interview that the message of â€Å"Put Your Hearts Up† is that â€Å"even the smallest acts of kindness can make the world a better place†. She also wrote the songs because she wants her fans to know her on a more personal level. She has a lot of talent. So far the album is great and I really like these two songs. I’m excited to see what she has in store for us when the rest of the album comes out.

Taxes Essays - Taxation, State Taxation In The United States

Taxes Only days after the last elections for Congress in November of 1994, Congressman Bill Archer declared his strong desire to "tear out the income tax by its roots." After that, Newt Gingrich and Bob Dole formed a commission to consider new alternatives to the income tax. That lead to more than a half dozen congressional panels holding hearings on that subject. So there is no longer a question of whether the income tax system will be replaced or not, the question now is, what should it be replaced with? Well, a national sales tax is an option that cannot be ignored, even though it may not be the best solution. The case for a national sales tax begins with one greatly appealing line. It will allow us to completely eliminate the income tax, possibly even repealing the 16th Amendment, an amendment that authorized the income tax and made it a part of the government in the first place. However, the change would come at a cost greater than seems fair: we would give up the income tax for a sales tax system that is more bothersome and pervasive. If the government sets out to collect a new tax at the register when something is bought, it will then have to extend that tax beyond the retailer to every single layer of production as well. The government would absolutely have to do this because a great amount of tax evasion would certainly take place. Soon enough, the national sales tax would become a very complex, multi-rate, value-added tax, or VAT. To generate enough revenue by taxing goods at the retail level only, a sales tax of at least 20 percent would have to be put into place. Suddenly, consumers will be seeing that everything they buy has been increased in price by that 20 percent. However, the people will not want to pay that high of a tax, so they will find ways to say that the products they buy are tax-exempt goods, they will buy the goods on the black market with cash, or they will evade it in other ways. So in essence, a national sales tax will be undermined by a tax revolt immediately and quietly, which will therefore mean that the government would respond with a value-added tax that no one wants. Whether or not the national sales tax evolved into a value-added tax, the government would become very closely involved in just about every transaction between consenting adults. Even very simple purchases, such as a farmer selling his produce on the side of the road or the corner grocer selling a loaf of bread, would be under the shadow of a government tax collector collecting his cut of the sale. Actually, if this is the case, every person that operates a business or sells anything outright, such as someone selling a car, would become a tax collector for the government. Some people that are lobbying for the national sales tax argue that by having this sales tax, we could eliminate the Internal Revenue Service completely. This could decrease the cost of running the government because the IRS agents would not have to be paid or given benefits. Instead, the states would collect the new federal sales tax through their own existing sales-tax systems. But again, there is a problem with taking out the IRS. While there are 50 states in the United States, only 45 of them currently have a state sales tax, which leaves five states without. These five states I'm sure would not particularly like to enforce something for someone else, the government, which they already oppose enforcing upon themselves. So while people argue that a national sales tax will help to remove the IRS from existance, the truth is that it will not eliminate any government agency, but rather increase the size of the government because politicians will be able to just raise the tax whenever they felt so inclined. Another argument that the sales-tax backers have, is that if there is not income tax there will be no need to file a federal tax form with the government because they pay their taxes when they make a purchase rather than when they are paid. But thats not really correct. Under any type of sales-tax system, people would still need to file paperwork with the government, only they would have to do it for totally different reasons than they do under the income tax system. With the sales tax in place, many Americans would be facing a great

Ford Fiesta Essay Example

Ford Fiesta Essay The storyline for the Ford Fiesta is a woman who looks young, about twenty to twenty five year old and a around the same aged boyfriend, driving through a town. The couple look like they are on holiday because it is sunny and they are driving alongside a beach. They get stuck in traffic. The woman then quickly drives out of the traffic line and drives down through some narrow streets. At this point the camera gets good close ups of the car. During the time that she is narrating what seems to be a diary entry. The camera then shows the woman lying down on her bed writing in the diary. The last clip of the advert shows her boyfriend looking puffed out over the drive. During this hot of her boyfriend, she is says Oh yeah and Jack purposed, Jack who is her boyfriend. She says it in a tone which makes it seem not very important. She is only talking about the car. Jazzy music is being played in the background while the couple are driving to get the viewer in the holiday mood as well as making the car sound fun and cheerful. The main aspect of the car which is being focused on is that the car is small so it can go down narrowest of roads and can easily handle a busy city street.  The message about the car is that the car is more important then marriage which links in with the cars slogan which is It makes your day. I think this links in with this storyline because the car is small and versatile it got out of the traffic and made a few shortcuts through some narrow lanes. Therefore at the result of that they are engaged. I think single or married people who are between twenty and thirty years old and who earn average wage will buy this car.  I feel that all three adverts are all effective in there own way. The Ford Fusion is a good example of very effective photography and use of colour. The Ford Mondeo shows that the car is very safe and reliable. It also has a frightening theme to it. The Ford Fiesta is a good example of very effective music, comedy and narration. I find all three adverts very clever and original. The best method to sell a car I fell is by TV because you can use different mediums such as music, comedy, sound effects, and a disturbing atmosphere. That is why I feel the best advert is the Ford Fiesta because I like comedy in an advert. That is how I would remember it.  I think the Ford Fiesta did in a way persuade me to buy the car because how the way the advertisers have filmed the car. Advertising has an important effect on our lives. If we see something on TV, radio or the newspaper and we like either the person selling it or the way it is set up, we will probably that product.

Charles A. Lindbergh Essays - Charles Lindbergh, Aviation

Charles A. Lindbergh Essays - Charles Lindbergh, Aviation Charles A. Lindbergh 10-30-98 Per: 4 Charles A. Lindbergh was born on February 4, 1902, in Detroit, and past away in 1974. Lindbergh was an aviator who made the first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean on May 20-21, 1927. Other pilots had crossed the Atlantic before him. But Lindbergh was the first person to do it alone nonstop. Lindbergh?s flight suddenly brought him international fame. The press named him ?Lucky Lindy? and the ?Lone Eagle?. Americans and Europeans idolized the young man and honored him. The way this all started was that in 1919, a New York City hotel owner named Raymond Orteig offered $25,000 to the first aviator to fly nonstop from New York to Paris. A great deal of other men tried this challenge but many pilots were killed or injured while competing for the prize. By 1927, the challenge had not been done. Lindbergh believed he could win if he had the right airplane. He persuaded nine St. Louis Businessmen to help him pay for the cost of the plane. Lindbergh choose Ryan Aeronautical Company of San Diego to build his special plane, which he helped design. He named the plane Spirit of St. Louis. On May 10-11, 1927, Lindbergh tested the plane from San Diego to New York City. The flight took 20 hours 20 minutes. On May 20, 1927 Lindbergh, the twenty five year old, took off with his specially built plane from Roosevelt Field, near New York City. He landed the next day on may 21, 1927. Thousands of people came to meet Lindbergh and cheer him on. He had flown 33.5 hours and more than 3,600 miles across the Atlantic ocean from New York to Paris. Lindbergh?s courageous flight thrilled thousands of people across the world. He was honored with awards, celebrations and parades. President Calvin Coolidge gave Lindbergh the Congressional Medal of Honor and the first Distinguished Flying Cross in American history. In 1927, Lindbergh published a book about his transatlantic flight. And he also worked for several airlines as a technical adviser. Back in those days people admired Charles Lindbergh the way that we admire our athletes today. To them Lindbergh was a role model, a hero. Bibliography: ?Lindbergh, Charles A.?
